Become the woman in the room who knows what she wants and makes it happen.

Powerful is a monthly coaching membership for women who know they overfunction, people-please, and self-criticise, but can't seem to stop.

This is where you break those patterns, once and for all.

SIGN UP NOW

You’ve read the books, binged the podcasts, and saved the posts about people-pleasing and boundaries. So at this point, you can recognise when you're people-pleasing or not setting a boundary in the moment.

But still…

  • You monitor yourself closely, wondering how you’re coming across and replaying what you said (and didn’t say).
  • You worry about getting it wrong and being told off, even when the stakes are low.
  • You anticipate the needs of others and try to please them, and minimise yourself to avoid conflict.
  • You struggle to ask for help – declining support whilst also resenting how much you have on your plate.
  • You believe your inner critic when they pipe up about how you’re not smart/capable/good enough.
  • You postpone changes you already know would dramatically improve your life
  • You underestimate your capability and stay small in rooms you could be leading.

You’re not new to self-improvement. But there’s a gap between what you know in theory and how you show up in practice.

You monitor yourself closely, wondering how you’re coming across and replaying what you said (and didn’t say).
You worry about getting it wrong and being told off, even when the stakes are low.
You anticipate the needs of others and try to please them, and minimise yourself to avoid conflict.
You struggle to ask for help – declining support whilst also resenting how much you have on your plate.
You believe your inner critic when they pipe up about how you’re not smart/capable/good enough.
You postpone changes you already know would dramatically improve your life.
You underestimate your capability and stay small in rooms you could be leading.

Because being so capable means you're always the one who steps in to manage difficult personalities, situations, and emotions. When something needs doing, you pick up the slack. When conflict arises, you fix, manage, and smooth things over.

And as long as you keep the semblance of peace, you don’t have to address what’s actually going on. And at this point, you're afraid of what would happen if you stopped: who would pick up the slack? Who would end up disappointed or annoyed? What would it mean for your reputation?

But you’re fed up with being the one who holds it all together.

And that’s actually part of the problem.

The truth is you’re smart, resourceful, and you get things done.

Self-leadership is the skill of directing yourself – through the awkward conversation, the decision that disappoints someone, and the goal that requires you to stop over-functioning for others so that you can pursue it.

Building this skill will help you finally change your patterns.

Here's the thing: being "self-aware" of your people-pleasing and overfunctioning patterns won't change them.

If you really want to change, you need to build skills of self-leadership.

Self-Leadership is built through 4 key skills:

Self-leadership is a muscle, and when you practice the skills that strengthen it, you become a person who is able to stop yourself from reverting to ingrained childhood patterns and people-pleasing tendencies.

You'll set and uphold healthy boundaries without guilt. You'll feel grounded, calm, and wise in the face of a new challenge.

And you'll keep commitments to yourself, even when they're inconvenient, and even when other people’s needs, requests, and expectations are doing their best to pull you off course.

1. Self-Awareness

Recognising patterns like perfectionism, over-functioning, and avoidance in the moment and becoming aware of the thinking and conditioning that’s driving them.

2. Self-Regulation

Working with your menstrual cycle, nervous system, and emotional responses so that they become sources of information and strength – not parts of you that you have to override.

3. Cognitive Direction

Improving your ability to manage your thinking deliberately – interrupting old narratives, setting standards, making decisions, and choosing where your energy goes.

4. Strategic Action

Taking consistent action towards your personal and professional goals, overcoming challenges and distractions, and building momentum without burning out.

Therapy, productivity hacks, and self-improvement books each only address one part of this equation.

But to make profound change, you need to actively practice all 4 of these skills in real situations until they’re no longer something you’re working on, they’re just how you operate.

And that's exactly what we're doing in Powerful.

Jess

The experience I've had over the last month has been so profound and it is completely down to the work I'm doing in the membership. If someone had told me I'd get results like this so quickly I'd never have believed them.

I’m breaking the habit of a lifetime and I could not be prouder of the correlative results in my professional and personal life it's created. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

"If someone had told me I'd get results like this so quickly I'd never have believed them"

STEPHANIE

"I’m finally in the driver’s seat..."

I no longer talk crap about myself and don’t believe the crap people throw at me anymore, I just don’t allow it. I’m finally in the driver’s seat which feels great. I’ve learned skills to live my own life and not someone else’s.

LOUISE

"Maisie's work not only allows you to see, with compassion, what is happening in your life from a different, calmer perspective but she gives a step-by-step process so you can actually change things, rather than just be aware of them.

I waste less time wanting things that others have because I create what I want in my own life. I am more intentional. Everything has changed - but 95% of this is on the inside."

"Everything has changed"

ANGEL

Not only have I been learning so much new stuff and seeing things in completely new lights – Maisie always gives such a sense of power and helps you realise your own power and that we have so much untapped power. She also doesn't sugar coat things or pretend that you're supposed to feel ‘happy’ and ‘great’ all of the time … She cuts the bullshit and makes you feel so much peace with the challenges and ups and downs of life.

" She cuts the bullshit and makes you feel so much peace"

Inside, you’ll set meaningful personal goals – and more importantly, you’ll build the self-leadership skills to follow through on them.

Your goal might be launching your dream business, having a conversation you’ve been avoiding, or finally quieting the constant self-criticism.

But Powerful is about more than achieving your goals. It’s about learning to trust yourself to do the things you set out to do.

Powerful is a monthly coaching membership for women who are ready to take consistent, aligned action toward who they want to become.

Powerful is a monthly coaching membership for women who are ready to take consistent, aligned action toward who they want to become.

I'M READY

Back in 2018, I got a book deal — a dream come true for me. There was just one problem: I had a 16-month-old toddler and only 6 hours of childcare a week.

I knew if I was going to actually write the book, I needed to stop waiting for permission to take my work seriously. I needed to make writing my #1 priority.

So I did. And I quickly realised that the hardest part of writing the book was not writing it. The hardest part was confronting my inner dialogue when I chose to write instead of doing bath time with my son, or when I could see laundry piling up and chose to swan off to a cafe and write instead, or when I told my partner I wouldn't be able to go out for dinner with him because I had a date with my laptop.

I realised you don't need superhuman abilities to reach your biggest, wildest goals. You need to expand your self-leadership skills, and your capacity for awkwardness and discomfort.

In the end, I wrote Period Power in 6 months. It was a 120,000-word manuscript – double the contracted length.

And it became an instant bestseller.

Two years later, I did it all again. I wrote Perimenopause Power during lockdown, with a 4-year-old, while running my business, training as a coach, and participating in a business mastermind.

I wrote that book in ten-minute snatches of time and in my car until my laptop died. The conditions weren’t ideal, but they never are. I did it because I decided that it was possible, and I had the internal tools to back up that decision.

From an early age, we learned that our value comes from what we do for other people; being selfless, agreeable, and keeping the peace. Certainly not from being bossy or “too much”.

So when you start to prioritise yourself and stop taking responsibility for how everyone else is feeling, it doesn’t just feel uncomfortable. It feels wrong and selfish. Like you’re risking the relationships and reputation you’ve spent years carefully maintaining just by saying no.

That’s not your personal failing, it’s the predictable result of how we’ve been socialised.

Which is why the work we do inside Powerful matters. You’re not just learning self-leadership, you’re unlearning old conditioning.

Self-leadership is especially hard for women because we’ve been taught that choosing ourselves threatens our value.

Powerful is structured around 3 pillars: Courses, Coaching, & Community. Here’s how they work together:

This is your foundational self-coaching practice. You’ll get 5 modules that build the internal skills you’ll return to for life.

Get the tools that you can use from day one - from handling hard days without shame, how to spot patterns of thinking that are keeping you stuck, and how to celebrate yourself.

Learn the self-coaching framework so you can separate the facts of a situation from the story you’re adding to them, and choose your thinking on purpose.

Learn to work with your emotions so they become sources of information instead of something to manage, suppress, or escape.

Learn how to work with your nervous system so that stress responses and overwhelm stop running the show and you can choose how to respond instead.

Learn to track your cycle so you can work with your energy, knowing when to push forward, when to rest, and how to support yourself through the shifts instead of being blindsided by them.

This is where what you’ve learnt meets real life. You bring what’s coming up, and we coach you through it.

Join live group coaching calls to get expert support on the real stuff: the decisions you’re avoiding, the tensions you’re navigating, and the goals you’re moving toward.

All our calls are recorded and available to watch or listen to via our private members-only podcast.

A dedicated coaching space that’s solely for BIPOC members, facilitated by Mars Lord. This space is free from the white gaze – a place to be coached and supported without having to navigate that layer.

Any day of the week, you can submit your real-life situations and receive personalised answers from the coaching team within two working days. Perfect if you can’t make it to a coaching session, or if you resonated with the coaching someone else received and want help applying it to your own situation, or when you need an outside perspective on the text to your mom you’ve rewritten twelve times and still haven’t sent. Over time, the way the coaches respond teaches you to coach yourself through these moments.

On these live calls, you’ll get feedback on the self-coaching you’ll learn in the Inner Odyssey, so that it's even more impactful. Because learning the tool is one thing; using it powerfully is another.

This is where you can celebrate your successes and share the work you’re doing with your peers

The community is optional and introvert-friendly – many members get all they need from the courses and coaching alone. But if you do show up, you’ll find a weekly wins thread that will stop you in your tracks, members sharing their self-coaching and goal evaluations for you to learn from, and an inspiring group of peers. It will feel different from any other online community you’ve been a part of.

Basically, there is a lot to explore.

But the most valuable part of Powerful isn’t the hours of courses and coaching. It’s being part of a community that has high standards and holds you to them.

We have high standards for ourselves – and for our community too.

Most community memberships are noisy and filled with random posts because the people running them aren’t comfortable holding standards. You’ll feel the difference inside Powerful.

We’re not here to waste your time. We’re here to help you do the work, and we lead by example. That means we have clear community guidelines and we hold them. This is a training ground for real-life, so if you open a post with an apology, we’ll ask you to rephrase because noticing that pattern and interrupting it is what we’re here to do.

If you feel a flicker of discomfort imagining that, that’s perfect – welcome to doing the work. This is a safe place to get it wrong.

Plus, you'll receive these bonuses:

In this 3-session recorded workshop, you’ll map your long-term direction, from your 10-year vision, to your 3-year picture, and 1-year plan, so that everything you do in Powerful has a direction. This is your starting point with goal work.

After 6 months in the membership, you’ll get access to a bonus coaching call for established members. Everyone in the room knows the coaching tools, which means we can play with them - expect shortcuts, creative twists on the tools you already know, and coaching that assumes you’ve already done your homework and coached yourself.

You’ll get instant access to these focused trainings on the patterns that most commonly hold women back, including:

Learn how to recognise the 7 archetypes of the inner critic and use practical techniques to change your relationship with it so it no longer determines what you do or don’t do.

Build a clear plan for treating yourself as the most important resource in your life. You’ll audit where you’re running on empty, and how to protect your energy and capacity without guilt.

Learn why decisions feel so hard for you, so you can stop dragging unresolved decisions around for months. You’ll discover how to make decisions from your values rather than from the fear of getting it wrong.

Learn a simple formula to set and maintain your boundaries without over-explaining, apologising, or bracing for conflict..

Powerful isn’t designed to keep you dependent on a coach; it’s designed to make you your own best coach.

A big focus in the membership is self-coaching. I’ll teach you how to coach yourself through all of life’s ups and downs, etc. The self-coaching skills will give you a process to follow when you’ve made a mistake and your inner critic pipes up, or when a relationship is pulling you back into old patterns, or when you’re 3 weeks into a goal and you want to quit,

The real goal of Powerful is to become the version of yourself who can lead herself through anything.

One year from now, you could be in the same place – overfunctioning, overwhelmed, and underestimating yourself.

Or you could be self-assured, decisive, and unapologetic about what you want and how you pursue it.

This is the moment you decide.

A year gives you enough time to practice these skills across every area of your life – at work and at home, in the easy seasons and the hard ones, and especially when things aren’t going well. And all of that practice will change how you operate. By the end of the year, these won’t be skills you’re working on, they’ll be who you are. (And you’ll have reached 4 major personal goals in the process!)

ANNIE

"A ‘goldmine’"

I called it a ‘goldmine’ to my friends and family. There were things in the webinars I didn’t know I needed and they changed so much for me. Maisie’s calm and open attitude makes me feel held even when I’m watching a playback that was recorded at a different time.

  • You’ll stop spending 70% of your mental energy trying to manage what other people think and feel about you, and redirect that energy to your own goals and pursuits.

  • You’ll make decisions from your own authority – without endlessly researching, seeking reassurance from others, or waiting until you feel certain.

  • You’ll build momentum towards the goals you’ve been telling yourself are out of reach – the business, the book, the career change… the thing you’ve been calling a dream instead of a plan.

  • You’ll take yourself seriously enough at work that other people do too - speak up in the rooms you’ve been silencing yourself in, ask for the pay rise, and stop qualifying everything you say with “I could be wrong but…” or “this is just my opinion…”

  • You’ll tell your partner what you actually need, hold your limits with your family without getting pulled into your patterns, and stop going along with plans because saying no feels harder.

  • You’ll stop replaying conversations, second-guessing yourself, and lying awake wondering if you've said the wrong thing.

  • You’ll let other people feel what they’re going to feel, without making it your responsibility to manage their feelings.

Challenges won’t disappear, but by increasing your capacity and skillset, you’ll meet them differently.

When you learn how to lead yourself, this is what your life will look like:

BASHAK

"Now I can express my needs, wishes better, not take things personally, and set boundaries."

HOLLY

"This is a community of people who I wish I’d had access to my whole life and the resources open my eyes to new ways of approaching situations constantly."

Siobhan

"I’ve embodied in a very visceral way the idea that I can let others be wrong about me and I don’t have to create drama around things."

"I’ve never had such a transformation as I have in the last six months."

I spent a lot of time trying to convince people that I’m a good person, I work hard, I mean well. And now I am really dropping that.

I didn’t expect that to have such a massive impact on the way I’d show up in life at work and beyond.

The content is self-paced with no deadlines, and you don’t need to attend every coaching call. The point is to give you multiple opportunities to engage in whatever way works for you, not to give you another thing to keep up with.

The goal isn’t to consume as much as possible; it’s to learn something and apply it. One lesson that you practice in real life will do far more than watching ten lessons back to back. Engage with what feels most relevant to you right now; if you struggle with making decisions, start with that; if you have no idea how you’re going to fit your goal into your busy life, then go to that module.

Call times vary and may start anywhere between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. (UK time) to account for a variety of schedules and time zones. Our 9 a.m. calls mean those Down Under can attend live, the 1 p.m. calls work great for those on a lunch break in Europe or who are on the East Coast, and our 6 p.m. calls are perfect for after work in Europe, lunch on the East Coast, or mornings on the West Coast.

That said, if you can’t attend a session, every coaching call, workshop, and event is recorded and added to the membership portal – and to the private members-only podcast – so you can watch or listen whenever it suits you.

Some of our most powerful results have come from members who primarily engage through replays.

(002)

Weekly coaching calls are live, hot-seat style coaching. You bring real situations – decisions you need to make, situations you’re struggling with, goals you want to achieve – and you get coached in real time.

Self-coaching reviews focus on strengthening your ability to coach yourself. You’ll learn how to coach yourself in the Inner Odyssey, bring your self-coaching to the call, and get another pair of eyes on it. Receiving feedback like this helps you to refine your thinking and increase the impact of your self-coaching.

(003)

Any day of the week, you can submit situations you want coaching on and receive coaching from the team within 2 working days. Use it for the work situation you need an outside perspective on, the big decision you know you need to make but can’t move forward with, or the relationship dynamic you can’t figure out your part in.

The act of writing down what’s going on often shifts something inside of you, and the coaching response gives you a perspective you can’t access from inside the situation. They’ll point out the thinking underneath what’s going on. And over time, you’ll notice the way the coaches respond and learn to ask yourself the same questions.

No, the community is optional so if it’s not your thing, that’s fine. Many members get all they need from the courses and coaching. This isn’t a part-time job. Some weeks, you’ll learn some lessons and get coached. Others, you’ll be applying it all to your life. Typically, people engage deeply when they’re in the midst of something challenging, like after an argument with their partner, or when they’re preparing to set new boundaries with their parents, or in the lead-up to a big job interview.

A few hours a month of focused engagement – combined with real-life application – is enough to create substantial change.
